the tighter you hold on to something, the quicker it slips thru your hands.
Theres enough work for everybody out there, kinda like Nashville; but a select few try to monopolize it...not me though

Clem helped a lot of players in his days running the Steel Guitar Emporium. I used to look forward to hitting Minneapolis and getting to hang in Clem's shop. He sold me my first Emmons, and it took him a long time to get me away from my Sho~Bud!!

I'd like to know what he did with my S10 5x4 MSA. I still have all the paper work. He took it on consignment when he was in Mpls and then went to NV.

The serial number is: 1C2196. If anyone knows it's whereabouts. I concider it stolen, since it was neither paid for or returned to me.

I bought my first real steel, a Pro I, and my Webb from Clem Back in 78. Clem was a real pleasure to do business with, and he gave me a lot of help when I was just starting, even came out to hear me play. If you read this, Clem, the Webb is still kicking some serious butt!

What a delight to hear Clem is back! Clem always helped me so much for years and what a super Emmons p/p repairman--one of the best!! Great memories of the old Pedal Steel Guitar Emporium on E. Lake Street in MPLS...I will get in touch soon...

I hung at both of the Emporium's (in Minneapolis and Mt. Juliet.) in the late 70's and early 80's. That's where I met Mike Cass, Russ Pahl and quite a few other players, too. Clem is a great push-pull mechanic. I bought my first Emmons D-10 from Clem in Minneapolis in '77 and my first LeGrande from him in Mt. Juliet in 81 or 82.

My wife told me he called my house a couple of weeks ago, but I was out of town and didn't get to talk to him.

My best,
Ernie
