Sunday, November 9th we will be playing the set list from the March 20, 1973 tour at Oliver's in Boston. We will be joined by two of the original Fallen Angels...Neil Flanz on Steel and Jock Bartley on guitar...Neil is sticking around the next day for a meeting of the Denver Steel Guitar Social Club...

Looks like this will be great fun. I've been putting on a Gram Parsons Tribute show in Seattle for about the last 5 years. This year it will be Nov. 7. We play a set of Gram's music from ISB,FBB, The Byrds and later released songs and the 2nd set we play the GP and Grievous Angel albums in sequence. We'll have a 6 piece band with forumite Bob Knetzger on steel and 9 guest singers. Always tons of fun playing songs that were a big influence on me when I started out.
Good luck on your show in Denver.

One week!!

That's great, Dave. I have played the Gram International in Nashville the last tow years and decided it was time to do one in Denver. Having two of the original Fallen Angels makes it real special...

Wowso !!! Two shows with the kind of music a lot of us played when we started on steel. It sure would be a treat to see your lineup in action Dave ...
I have to admit that seeing ol' Neil with this band would take me back to good times too. I WILL make one of these shows next yr . But, I hope you hoolagins won't be needin bail money after the show ! I'm a little short on cash right now ...just kiddin. JF

Aw man, I wish I could come. But Jerry, we might have to arrange a benefit concert afterwards to score some bail money for these guys, so perhaps it's just as well that we can't go.

WOW... What a great event. Nice Job John!!!

Also, I noticed a lot of recording devices. If you end up posting "Las Vegas" from the first set, do let me know.

That was pretty hot!!!
