My knowledge is pretty marginal on these old Ricks. Any information would be appreciated. The photo is courtesy of another SGF member and I hope this inquiry doesn't offend him. I just don't know much about them. It looks like its in excellent condition and is all original. The O.D. nut width on my Rics is the same for both 6 & 8 string models. They just closed up the gaps a little between strings to fit them in.
That's one reason I enjoy 7 stringers, the best of both worlds.
I believe the clamshell head cover was used on the "Deluxe" model between about 1949 into the mid 50s.
Anyway you slice it, it's still a damn good guitar. _________________ Time flies like an eagle
