I'm a happy owner of a Clinesmith D8. The guitar has a great compressed quality to it’s tone! A clip from my first gig with the guitar. I'm trying to copy Mr Murphey’s solo, well... mission impossible.... Thanks Todd for great service!

Gorgeous guitar, Peter. Your venue is the perfect showcase for it, too. Are my eyes decieving me, or am I seeing some big time custom features on that beauty? _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

Man does that sound like the Real Deal...it IS the sound of the swing era! Let's face it, a Clinesmith is the real deal, what a great guitar. Thanks for sharing. I really love the band's sound and vibe. _________________ RICK ABBOTT

Enjoyed the performance. A lot of Joaquin's little embellishments were evident. Keep up the great work!
That's a mighty fine lead guitarist you have there. I'm sure he's a great joy to be teamed up with. You're indeed lucky.
BEAUTIFUL GUITAR! |

Thanks!
No big custom features Rick, it’s a 40’s style guitar with birdseye Maple, wood necks and pickup without a pickup cover. But I have the mandatory ashtray installed ;.).
Yes, Johan is a great lead guitarist with â€out of the box†licks!
The D8 is just incredible, I get inspired every time I play the guitar. My other guitars seems "dead" compared to this masterfully crafted instrument. I really like that you can play the lower strings on the lower frets and the tone is really clear and strong. And also that you can really change the tone when you move the right hand to the left or to the right. This works on all guitars of course but there’s something special going on on the Clinesmith…

Wow nice guitar and great band! Its nice to see an old school western swing band like yours! I love pedal steel for country but western swing always sound better with straight steel too me.
I will probably buy a D8 like yours at some point because is just to beautiful and I would like to have a E13 neck for chords. For now Im very happy with my S8 Joaquin with legs tuned to C13.
What tuning are you using? |

Very cool !! This is the first console I've seen with maple keyheads and raised graphic fretboards on wood necks. It's beautiful. _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

Peter - you choose a perfect wall paper as a backdrop to your beautiful steel. I went both. |

Thanks again!!
I'm using C6 and E13 (G# E C# B G# F# E D, listed high to low.)
I have a Epiphone Zephyr or a Gibson Ranger 20T. Two great amps!
Bosse: Don't get me wrong I love my other guitars. I have a Shobud Professional that sounds amazing and if you want the Stringmaster sound, you have to have a Stringmaster. I also have a D8 . Wow, a lesson with the one and only Mr Murphey! |

Thanks Peter, Jessy Peck introduce me for Mr Murphey. I only have Janne L's old MSA the red one that is on cover "Green Rose Rag" LP. That was Jannes main recording guitat for several year with Swedish top stars as Vikingarna, Ann-Louise Hansson, Flamingo aso. My National is a-33 signed by Weldon Myrick.
