~> "Song Of The Wanderer", a tune from the nineteen

Chalker recorded it on his album 'More Ways To Play'

Was it Hal first than Curly came along. I'm thinking thats how it went down.

I have a Hal question. Did Hal record Altered egos on his Emmmons or Sho bud?

Curly was first that chord running style. "Alter Ego" is an Emmons w/ Hal's own E9/6 tuning. To me - Hal's E9/6 tuning and his use of it is the of the great innovations in steel guitar history. He is also using it on the "It's The First Time" LP.

Man he sounds great on Altered Ego's. I figured it was his Emmons he recorded this on. He could do it all. Had all the tools. I especially like his style on C6 really beebopy with lots of altered and extended chords.
