i recently saw them play in Kansas City and the younger was playing a guitar with a volume control on the neck like the old fenders. I would like to modify one of my guitars to have a volume control like that. Anyone know where I could get one?

Electronics Supply at 41st and Main. You need a 500K audio taper pot. Wire it like a pot pedal (ground to the anticlockwise end of the track, hot to the other, and the wiper (middle leg) to the tip connector of the output jack.
Up to you to figure out the cover plate and knob choice.
