Anybody have experience in fitting a TrueTone pickup on a Stage One? If I choose the Narrow mount, I only need to drill 2 holes in one side, but how about the height?

Cheers,

/Søren

I did, and it sounded great! Not an easy fit, but can be done.
Look about halfway down the 1st page of this thread for a pic:

Soren I have a truetone in my Stage one. The picture shows Teleonics but I changed it to a truetone. As you can see the guitar had to be routed for the truetone to fit. You will need to route the guitar the thickness of the mounting tab on the bottom of the pickup, maybe 1/8 inch more, then the wire coming out of the pickup, you will need cut a
notch for the wire to lay in, where your pickup will set flat on the guitar. A wide mount pickup the fret board will have to be cut also. On this guitar a Truetone Pickup is to tall to fit under strings without cutting guitar. Hope this helps. Joey

Thanks guys. It sound like it's a bit to much work. Do you know of any other pickup that will work, where I don't have to route? My guitar is with the old 80's type pickup, not the newer type humbucker

Cheers,

/Søren
