Odds are Iggy got the name and inclination from his guitarist and forumite, James Williamson, but Iggy's a pretty well honed music lover so he may have been aware for decades. |

That's a Jim Jarmusch movie--I'm pretty sure Iggy had nothing to do with the music selection.
What a bizarre scene that was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49tTzEifY6M
Love both those guys, though.
Anyway, that particular version uses the diatonic tuning. I have another version that is played in a different tuning, but on this version the first notes he picks are 4 consecutive whole tones (Ab, Bb, C, D) and then a high G and they all sustain, so he's playing it up at the 15th fret, straight across.
Diatonic tuning: E C B A G F E high to low _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

They mis spelled the title. It's Serenade To Nalani. |

Linguists well recognise Nalami as the contraction of Na (that or the) and Lami (salami). It has gone out of use since the introduction of the Hawaiian Pizza. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

Mr. Mike Neer
You mentioned you have a version. Is it something you can share with us so we can hear?
I would love to learn the song. I'm wondering if there is a tab or sheet music available. At my skill level it would take me a long time to capture it by ear. I'm thinking it might sound good on the Leavitt, also. Sure would appreciate you input. |
