I don't use my RKL lever and I want to start using it. What are some good licks to incorporate its use.

First off, I'm going assume your RKL raises your 1st string from F# to G#. It may also raise your 2nd string a half step.

I've only been back to playing PSG for about 4 months now, so I don't have a lot of licks in my bag of tricks yet. However, there is one often used lick. You can hear an example of this in the Alan Jackson song Livin' On Love. It's the first lick in the solo and you can also hear the same RKL pedal lick in the chorus as well.

Tbere is a Jeff Newman DVD devoted to the F lever. He teaches about six to ten really great backup licks. It isn't cheap but he doesn't leave anything out. Also, you can build alot of additional licks off of his basics because all of the positions and pockets are coverd.

Any one have a few licks they would share for the right Knee Lever going Left. I looked at the Jeff Newman page and I don't have the funds for that yet but would like to learn a few

Hi Scott,

I recently posted the solo from Peaceful Easy Feeling it's near the top of the tab forum., it's got a small treasure trove of RKL licks on the 1st string. In the transcription all the "G" changes are RKL bending the 1st string a whole step unless otherwise noted.
