Topic: No-name Pedal Steel Repair |

Hello everyone!
I recently bought my first pedal steel guitar on the forum. It's a push/pull no-namer. I bought it with the intentions of learning more about it and fixing it up myself, knowing that it would cost time and money. I'm hoping by the end of this, I will literally have learned all the "ins and outs" of my steel guitar.
Here's a description of the guitar it is now:
-It's in DAY tuning
-4th pedal isn't hooked up to anything.
-The A pedal works fine
-The B pedal works fine until the rod pops out of place. You can see the nice little spacer that rod has up against the bell crank (atleast I think that part is called the bell crank).
-I can't feel any pedal stop on the B Pedal.
-The C Pedal seems to be good
-The two knee levers are hooked up but not functioning correctly. The nut on the rod is too far away from the bell crank to move the rod.
Here's what I would like to have:
-4 Knee Levers
-3 Pedals (If I can fix up the 4th pedal and use it, then I'd also like to do that since I already have it)
-Everything functioning properly
-Not too worried about cosmetics for now
I realize that this is probably quite a load, but any help I can get would be very much appreciated!

I don't know if it needs a total overhaul, since it looks clean.
BUT, it doesn't look like any pull-release guitar I've ever seen. Pull-release guitars are dead simple machines. But to make simple machines do complex things, you need to be clever yourself.
You can make a string both raise and lower, but you'll have a lot of tuning under the guitar to make things happen.

People like Richard Burton, Bob Carlucci and Chris Lucker will have lots of info on how to make a pull-release do everything you want it to.
Personally, since the pedals do everything you want them to do at the moment, I think I'd replace the knee levers with new ones from Bob Simmons of Simmons steel guitars (if he'll sell them). They're well made
