Bohemian Rhapsody 14 String Lapsteel Guitar
(Quote by 32251)
I Recorded A Version Of This On A Lapsteel Guitar I Made. 14 Strings. Tuning For This Song Is From Low To High E A C# E G A B C D E F G G# A. I Use A SP1 Shubb Pearse Bar & A Piece Of Brass On My Thumb For Some Extra Notes When I Need Them. I Hope You Enjoy The Effort!!! Sorry About Only Two Pics Over & Over, But I Just Downloaded Win Movie Maker & Did The Best I Could.

INCREDIBLE! You do the song complete justice, on 14 strings, with TWO slides. I only wish there was some video of you playing, I would love to see how you achieve some of this. Best thing I have heard all day. _________________ Iestyn

Very Impressive Roger!!!
The guitar sounds great and your playing is excellent. Both right and left hand execution performed very well indeed.
You have been keeping secrets from us.
I hope you do some more.

Sorry Folks I'm Not The Steel Guitar Player Here
That is Why I put (Quote 32251). This Is The ID Of The Poster & I Assume The Player As Well.
For Now His Identity Is A Mystery.

I listen to Bill Hatcher's 14-string Bach piece at least every third day, mostly when I'm feeling overly-adequate or something. Yikes! Guy's nuts.

There is only one person I know of capable of that: Bill Hatcher. I do believe Bill posted this here about a year ago. Absolutely masterful. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

What an excellent performance!
That is the most exciting new 'sound' I've heard in a long, long time.
The full bodied, RICH tones you're getting are truly wonderful to hear.
How about telling us what units you use to get this fabulous 'sound'........... The guitar doesn't look like it should be able to deliver such a great sound all by itself.
The thumb thingie is quite unique and really does the trick. |

One observation is that it appears he is using a McIntosh MC250 (hard to tell but that's what it looks like to me, because I have one).
This era of McIntosh amps are known to be tone monsters. |

Great playing. Is Freddy a Pedal or non-Pedal player? _________________ Regards
