Written by Bill Doggett and Clifford Scott. Recorded by Buddy on an album with Shot Jackson in the early '70s and also a short live version on George Jones' "Live at Dancetown U.S.A" album. |

You can still buy the Ace re-release of Live at Dancetown on cd. The original 1985 release by Del-rio left 8 songs off the record, one of which was "Hold It." _________________ Rebel |

I've got an mp3 copy at home I can send you of Hold It that I made from my copy of the Aces album if you don't locate it elsewhere. Great Sho-Bud tone IMHO. Here's another cut of Ponchartrain from the same "Two Aces: Sho-Budding Again" album:

Back in the early 70's Buddy toured Australia playing bass for Roger Miller with Thumbs Carllile on lead guitar. During that tour Festival records in Sydney recorded an album titled Country Jazz with Pee Wee Clark & Buddy on Emmons P/P steels,Thumbs on 6 string lead, Marty Aldred on drums & Phil Clark on bass. The titles were:
Roly Poly
Crazy Arms
La Golondrina
B. Bowman Hop

Cute
Free & Easy
Faded Love

Mercy Mercy
Gathering Flowers
High Heel Sneakers |

Also, if you can find a copy of Jeff Newman's "Music To Get C6th By" he plays it and tabs it out. That course is IMO the best C6 instruction ever.
