Interested in your opinion on this one John...the price seems low. Thanks, Jim. |

No way to tell just looking, but the price is low. At least at the moment, no telling where it will wind up. I paid about $1,300 for my 1955 D8 a few years back. |

It's low now, but it won't be a minute before the auction ends.
I'm surprised it isn't being parted-out, that's what "hankeroo" usually does. |

Very similar to my D-8. Just because it isn't a blonde should not sway you. This is from my favorite period for these, the early 60's. The medium scale length, the brown case, the blender pots. Hubba-hubba! Probably a really great Stringmaster. _________________ To write with a broken pencil is pointless. |

Yup! He especially rips apart the old Harmony/Silvertone lap steels... _________________ 1958 D8 Stringmaster, 1958 T8 Stringmaster, 1955 Q8 Stringmaster (in basket), 1949 Gibson BR9, 1953 Silvertone, 1957 Harmony H4 (yeah the cool black pearloid one), 1947 National Princess, 1969 Shobud S10 3X1 |

I just yesterday bougth on EBAY a triple neck blonde Stringmaster, supposedly from 1954. The seller had excellent Feedback on a bunch of instruments sold, so I made an offer for $1300 on his original price of $1600. Hope the guitar plays and sounds as nice as it looks. There was one (it is still on EBAY) that looked the same for $2300. stevet
