Opinions please. Is this a good mating with a twin reverb? Assume it's the 4 ohm version.

if it's the 8 ohm, which most were, just pull two power tubes. Or better yet use two 6550's and beef-up your screen resistors, awesome sound.

If its an 8 ohm don't worry about it go ahead and run it, lots of folks been doing that for years.

I put them in my Fender Steel King and it made such a hugh difference. I actually have either the K130's of the E 130's in about everything I have. Just have to be careful with the power but they have such a full sound.

Thanks to all for the input. I have a line on something. Hope it works out.

I love my K130. I use it with a solid state amp, but it am sure it would sound great with a Twin.

This works awesome in my world, to power my Shobuds. Two K130-8 ohms, (original cones). Cabinets courtesy of Rick Johnson.

If it's a small venue, I just take one extension cab. Your twin with one 8 ohm speaker will decrease about 30% power. It won't hurt the amp, in fact, the amp runs cooler.

I think Lloyd Green would agree with this combination of amp and speaker.

I have a 4 ohm JBL K-130 mounted in a 1964 blackface Fender Twin Reverb amp, very nice. Smile

Twin Reverb and K130 are a match made in heaven.

Just don't abuse the JBL with too much bass.

It sounded pretty great last night with the band. Can't wait to use it again tonight.

I'm still trying to dial in the Twin. Dave Doggett's settings from an old thread sounded best to me. I ran the bass at about 5 last night.
