I sometimes troll various sources on the web looking to see what's out there for sale. Yesterday, in the "Vintage" section of the Guitar Center website, I came upon this:

http://www.guitarcenter.com/In-Store-Vintage-Vintage-1930s-Rickenbacher-1930-s-Fryin-Pan-W--Matching-Amp-OHSC-Lap-Steel-110273560-i3879054.gc

It is a lot of money, but if you're so inclined, $3,500 for both guitar and amp sounds a lot more reasonable than some of the offerings we've seen lately. There's only one photo of them and no narrative, so the working condition of each is unknown.
