I tried to post this earlier but I think I "blew it."
A recently deceased friend left behind a black Carter S-10 C6 tuned 5 + 5, standard pedal arrangement. One knee lever is a vertical. It appears to be a top line machine ordered about 5 years ago by a good friend; still flawless. Original owner never got it out of his house. I know he paid about $4000 for it then. It has a hard case, with rollers, I think, & a Carter VP. After he passed on it got to where it is now, never played outside the houses. I've played it about 6 times at their homes & would love to have it if a U-10 set-up. For me it is too much to change. The owners hardly played/practiced at all. The original owner was a wonderful steeler until serious health issues developed. He had unrealistic hopes that he could play again sometime.
The widow is planning to sell it or put it on consignment ASAP, but doesn't want to go through the shipping process. Location Medford, OR. I suspect good solid offers will be seriously considered. First chances are going to locals & Forum Steelers who can pick it up locally. |

I had to look up the Uni-10 tuning. Verry interesting. I've been playing only C6 lately( just at home). I wonder if there are many out there who stay primarily with C6. After spending lots of time with non-pedal, the extension to levers and pedals on the close neck seems natural.
I would like a nice single C6 like this...as long as it's not my only axe. Want. _________________ Mullen PRP D10, accordions, Harmony Sovereign guitar. |

Thnx for your interest Luke. I already sent you an email message in response to your email.
I just called & found all the equipment, steels, amps, etc. sold yesterday to an unknown who paid cash above what was considered reasonable to the seller.
Just in passing, the uni tuning I would use would just drop a couple of strings from the 12 string but I would stay close to standard set up, only I use Bb6 as a base.
So this can be closed on the Forum. I don't know if I have to do anything else to close out on the Forum. |
