Mark, back in the '70's ShoBud made one for Buck that was held up by 4 legs and had pedals connected. All I could do was laugh, Buck was real big back then and the banjo looked ridiculous. ShoBud experimented with different ideas back in the 70's.

I am not sure how many shobud built but back in the 70's I understand that shobud built several guitars and banjos that weren't like custom items but built for public purchase. You don't see many of these around. Ive actually seen several of the acoustic guitars but I think besides this one I have only seen one shobud banjo.

The late '70's was during the period of Gretsch ownership I believe, so the banjo may be an import (possibly from Japan).
