Lucky Oceans, founding steel guitarist for Asleep at the Wheel, will be back (from Australia) in Philly for a family visit next week. On Sunday, Aug 24, he'll be sitting in with Beats Walkin' and I will have the great pleasure and privilege to sit beside him while we fire up two D-10's and let all heck break loose. Lucky is not only a phenomenal player but he's also a madman (and he makes me play things I don't even know how to play). If you're anywhere close to Philly next Sunday, we'd love to have you join us. Details in the poster below. Aaahhh-haaaah!

Most of the vocals are shared between two women, Lindsay Gilmour and Wendi Bourne (who also plays guitar). Our drummer, Chuck Lindsey, also sings several, as does our bassist, Dan Gold. I do some backing vocals and an occasional lead.
Folks who have our first CD, "Western Omelette", will be familiar with Lindsay's voice as she was our only female singer back then. The second CD, "Bop-a-Billy Swing!" features Wendi (who joined after Lindsay left for other projects). Several years ago, we enlarged the band to include both Lindsay and Wendi. Now better than ever. _________________ www.JimCohen.com

How was the show Jim?, would have loved to attend but have been busy working on a big job and am exhausted every night, including weekends.
Any good video clips from the show that you know of? _________________ Regards, Craig

The show was tremendous, Craig. We had a blast playing together. Don't know about any videos yet, but we did take a selfie!
And, oh, Ray, I wish you'd reminded me in advance to play "Together Again". Oh, well, we're gonna save that one for the time when you show up... _________________ www.JimCohen.com

You look just like brothers, maybe you and Lucky can do a twin steel recording at some point, would be real nice, maybe along the lines of the Paul Franklin/ Vince Gill Cd, if you could get Lucky to stay in Philly long enough
Lucky sure likes selfies, here's mine
