From the blog "Here In Van Nuys", historical photos of then Vice-President Richard Nixon, campaigning in 1956 in Panorama City, CA ("The Heart Of The San Fernando Valley"). In the second picture, Nixon leans over to shake hands with the bandleader, who I am certain is Spade Cooley. Note tantalizing partial view of Bigsby tripleneck. No Bigsby name inlay on apron, and what looks like horse-shoe style pickups. Is this Barney Barnes ?

Looks like Joaquin's and his T-8. Spade Cooley band was probably helping out with the music. As that is Spade shaking his hand
Great photo.
