Interested in lightweight "around town" case as well as lightest possible road case.
Thanx,

Tommy, I have the case my 84 Franklin came in. It is in pretty good shape. It looks pretty much like any other case such as an Emmons case except it has the open area for the switches on the Franklin endplate. I'm sure it is the original case the Franklin serial number 084 came in. $100.00 shipped to you. Can provide photos if you are interested. It is a Tolex (black vinyl) covered case and not the Ozite (carpet)covering. I had replaced this case with a case built by Woody Woodall which went with the guitar when I sold it.

Tommy, here are the Franklin case photos. It looks very good with exception of the bottom front edge.
The joint loosened causing the Tolex to tear. I will reglue the wood joint and then use contact cement on the Tolex. It will be strong and only have a hairline where the Tolex comes together. Also, Bobby Boggs has one of the Franklin very lightweight plastic type cases he might sell. You might contact him about it. I believe it is the type Woody Woodell built for Paul Sr. back several years ago.
