Calgary/Edmonton Steel Gear

I'm headed out for some shows in Edmonton and I'll have some down time in Calgary next weekend- I'd love to check out some instrument stores and/or catch some live steel guitar- any recommendations ?

What shows are you doing in Edmonton? Drop me an e-mail if you get a chance. I'm playing with Dana Wylie at Festival Place in Sherwood Park on the 13th, and will be hanging around at the folk festival for at least part of the time over the weekend if you are there.

Sometimes the Acoustic Music Shop on Whyte Ave. in Edmonton has a pedal steel or two kicking around, and in an case they are great guys and definitely friends of the steel guitar whether or not they currently have one in stock. Forumite Gavin Dunn works in the repair shop there. Myhres Music on 118 Ave in the NE often has a good reso or two and some high end acoustic stuff.
