The great Robby Turner was with him when we did some shows opening for Waylon in the 1990's.
Robby is such a great player, and a truly nice guy!

We opened for Waylon in the early 90's I think and Robby Turner was with him. The whole gig was a nightmare. The motor went on the band truck, it rained like crazy, and when we were playing Waylon's crew fired up their stuff and it sucked all the power from what we were using. To top it off we had to play behind Mrs.Iowa who when she sang sounded like a cat with it's tail in a screen door. Waylon took all he could take of two songs and then demanded she call it a day. Robby sounded good though. He had his Emmons thru two Nashville 400 wedges, one on each side. I was also lucky enough to catch Waylon years before that when Mooney worked with him.
