Just wanted to say that I picked up my new Stage One from Doug this weekend and what a pleasure. I'm a big guy and he took very good care of me when it came to custom fitting the guitar to me. Just starting on the steel but so far it has been a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying it. A first rate purchase as far as I'm concerned. |

Hey Jason,
I also started playing PSG on the Stage One a couple years ago. The 3 x 4 E9 set up is more than satisfactory for what I can see needing in the foreseeable future, and the build quality feels to be up to the task of sustaining anything I can throw at her. Literally!
It's also a good sounding steel. As my style is just starting to peak its ugly head, I am finding that while there may be prettier steels out there, the view from where I sit is concentrated on the fretboard and sound, anyway.
Have fun,
Dan |

Jason, congrats on the Stage One. Doug is a great guy, and builds a great guitar. What part of the state are you in? Larry _________________ Mullen G2 SD10 3 & 5 The Eagle

Very envious of you having Mike as a teacher. I wasn't and still not close to anyone to get lessons from. Good luck on your venture. Maybe see you in Branson some time. Tell Mike I said Hi. Larry _________________ Mullen G2 SD10 3 & 5 The Eagle

Congratulations, Jason! I was just in Branson and contacted Doug who was nice enough to invite me to his workshop and give me a tour. I'm 6'5" and Doug took time to explain how he can help setup a steel that will be comfortable for me. We sat for a while and talked about steels, music and enjoying life. So, I apologize to everyone who's waiting on delivery of an Encore or StageOne - but I don't think I held him up too long. Thanks Doug - you're building some great steel guitars at a great price. |

Bad news for me as a player but not as a father. Doug also sold me a set of regular legs incase my 10yr old son got into the pedal steel. Good news is I am now leaving the regular legs on it as he is playing it so much. I think he is really hooked. LOL . Good problem to have. |
