A great musician and good guy, Bill Rehrig has passed away. Bill worked for Dolly Parton and Eddy Rabbit among many others in Nashville. Bill was a great fiddler and played almost anything with strings.

I got a call about Bill yesterday; sad news. He was Eddie Rabbitt's road manager when I was in the band in the late '80s, and would come out and play Orange Blossom Special in the show, and do a comedy routine with Eddie.

A good guy. RIP Bill.

RIP billy. seems anything a fellow might type on here would be pretty shallow. the shades of progress from the time we were boys, discussing kindergarden kountry and, travis and maphis and chester, and grady. then we go to the service a couple of years and billy comes back an authentic jazz guitar player. explaining various styles ie, hank sugarfoot, and johnny, and tal, and George van epps, and bucky, bill fisher, howard roberts and harry leahy during 'all night' pullin's, sometimes at wkap,,, two Guitars and about the time we say 'breakfast time', billy says ''listen to this'',, he tightens up his bow and scratches off a couple blinding speed reels that make fiddle players of any consequence, start timidly short bowing in trepidation. that's just a warm-up as he says , ''play something'' , my Horse manure covered boots and my Guitar move into a swingin' standard jam song, give it to the fiddle and billy explains verbally what he's playing , without repeating himself, for maybe another five or ten minutes adding, '' see Kenny, you can take those jazz scales and transfer them right to your fiddle or steel''. no, they can just stay on with you billy. knowing you've still got them with you. RIP♫ kennyx and the sleepy hollow ranch Newmans.
