I'm in a Marty mood tonight. Great song, singer and steel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNQjGr5lCGM

Bill Johnson is fantastic! He's a picker I'm just recognizing and getting into. The whole band's performance was great. What an era for music.

That particular song was a big influence in wanting to take up steel back in the 80's as a kid, but this is the first I've ever seen any video of it--thanks.

I think someone put a pair of red socks in the washing machine when they washed their white shirts.

Bill passed away a year or so ago.

I owned that '65 wraparound for a bunch of years, until a good buddy of mine, a superb multi-instrumentalist, managed to use a financial crowbar to pry it from my possession. He's happy with it and that's what's important. I hear it on his recordings occasionally and it's as good as ever.

Just as a sidebar, Bill wrote the country hit "A Wound Time Can't Erase."

There's lots of Bill Johnson on YouTube thanks to the Marty Robbins TV show.
