This is a sweet steel but the case was just dust, so it is without the case. The body has some mild wear and one tuner is slightly bent (doesn't inhibit use) and there are tape markers that someone stuck on there a lot of years ago- I have been unsuccessful in removing them. The guitar sounds amazing, as these Magnatones tend to. It's a lovely guitar, and I am asking $400 shipped; partial trades are possible. I am looking for Elton bars like the second pic, pedals or other instruments.

Back in the early 40s there were two brothers locally that both played Vega steels doing Olde Hawaiian songs . They both used the Elton bar you have shown !! I've never seen any more and both bros. have passed on and I don't know what happened to the bars or the steels !! Was interesting to see one pictured after all these years ! olde geeze - AKA Eddie "C"

Added some shots to the original post to illustrate what I was describing with the tuner and the tape. I have not tried too much to get the tape off as I don't want to damage it and I am not well versed in finish work.

Naptha (aka Ronsonol) will likely remove the tape and residue without harming the finish.
