Found this guitar for sale and would like to know what would be a fair price. D-10, 8+4, with the case and leg bag. Needs to be cleaned up, but they say it has been played recently and everything is working fine. I don't know a lot about these guitars and would like some feedback before I make an offer. Thanks for any info. you could provide.

i'd say probably 'should' be at least $3000.

I bought one just like it in '05, for 2400bucks, and I thought it was to much at the time. Now I can see, I was wrong. Offer them 2500 and see if they'll take it. And who knows, they might even take less.

It sure doesn't look like it needs much cleaning up.
That is a fine guitar and worth at least three grand.

If you are buying its worth 3400.

If you are selling 2600.

And there in lies the problem .

Sad

prices seem to be a little askew this past year.
i see quite a few ads for sd10 legrandes and other top quality makes in the $2400 to $3400 range.
why wouldn't d10s be proportionately more?
eventually this will turn itself back around and double necks will once again be king of the hill and priced accordingly. to me it's kinda dumb to pay more for a single neck.

I know of two D-10, 8 &5,LL III's that just sold (not on forum) here locally. One for $2600 and other for $2500. Both in pristine shape and they were III's.

Before I'd sell an Emmons LeGrande III for that kind of money, I'd stick it under the bed for awhile. Whoa!
