At my gig on Saturday, I had a knee lever stop work loose and fall to the floor. Knee levers without a stop are useless I found out LOL.
Luckily I noticed exactly what it was, and set it aside to re-install during the break.
The guitar is a 2006, and has been flawless all this time, 100s of gigs, so can't blame the guitar.
The moral of the story is have some basic tools, ie allen wrench, flashlight, etc with you.
Or maybe the better lesson is tighten all the screws under your steel annually. I put a reminder on calendar for June 2015.

One of the compartments in my pak-a-seat sidecar, is filled with wrenches, screwdrivers, flashlight, string winder, a couple of different colored Sharpie pens, hex keys, a torx driver to fit the screws that hold the bell cranks on, a 3/16" nut driver, plus some spare small parts. I'm prepared for anything. The problem on a gig is having the room, the light, and time to make repairs.

Paddy, I went through a few broken pot metal parts on the Super Pro that I had. Too bad I didn't know about the guys making replacement knee lever brackets in those days. ended up selling mine too. I really liked the Super-Pro, well, when it wasn't breaking parts.

Me too Richard, I don't think anyone was making the replacement parts back in those days unfortunately - it was a good guitar otherwise, by early 80's standards that is.

I never broke anything on any of my Sho~Bud guitars, but I did brake one knee lever on my Excel D-10, actually, Tim Sargent did, LOL, but thats ok, he is famous, he can do that, I fixed it in a few minutes anyway...
