Thanks guys. This was done a couple of years ago. I stumbled across it when copying songs and videos to my new phone. This one of 2 bands I recently quit. I miss playing with the bass player and guitar player. The drummer's a real asshole and the major reason I left that band. As some of you know, I have been having physical issues with my right hand. I am looking at old videos and pictures to see if I am doing anything different. So far, I haven't found anything.

I really enjoyed your playing Richard. As for other being upset with other band members, it isn't worth the effort. The drummer can be replaced a heck of a lot easier than you can!

Neils, actually in this band, the drummer was more valuable than me. Besides being a good drummer, he is a great singer, both lead and harmony. I had about 8 years into this band, so it was a good run.

Great Country! And people can still 2-step to this and have a good time. A great deal of what you hear now, you can't even tap your feet to, let alone try to dance to it. Jack

Richard, I hate to disagree with everyone else, but I'm not sure it is REAL country - you don't have a cowboy hat on! But sure is some durn fine music!

Don't do the cowboy hat thing. I used to, a long time ago, but people kept coming up and saying they couldn't see my face. I guess I should have put the hat on top of my head. Embarassed

Richard, all that's missing is the Lone Star flag in the rear of the bandstand, and I would swear you guys were from Texas!

I always enjoy listening to the recordings you've posted here and on your web page, Richard. It's great to see something that shows your skills up front and center on the camera. Great sound you have and that was a good band. Any other videos you have in the vault?

Yes. He is a really good bass player. When I first met him (over 30 years ago), he also was learning to play the pedal steel. He gave that up, and he is waiting for his guitar to get back from rebuild and I will give him lessons. I really applaud him for wanting to get back to at 72 years old (or thereabouts).

Thank You Daniel. I know I have some more video somewhere on the multitude of hard drives I have. But mostly just audio. I know I have 2 that really don't have my up front (well, on 1 of them). One was a demo video for the 7 piece band I just quit because of my hand problem (although, when the video was shot, there were 8 in the band). The other is from the bass players girlfriend, and she took the video on her phone from behind the band.

Enjoyed that very much Richard...for the newbies, Richard's not "walking all over" the singers but enhancing the overall sound with timely fills/licks. If the steel was missing, well just use your imagination. Well done Richard and thanks for posting. Carl

Thanks Carl. Back in the old days (and I mean OLD), the steel guitar was very prominent in the songs, even behind the singers.

I was a judge in a country showdown last night, sponsored by the local radio station. Very little talent there. Nothing like this performance . I will admit that one girl was really good. She did true country and was good at it. She won a recording package from a local studio and moves on to the state finals. Very Happy
