Hope all is well with you around Spfd.
I forgot about that song and it's melody until I listened to M-M-Mel sing it on a 1971 youtube live cut of it. Great 4/4 tune for steel and fiddles. I'd bet you could just listen to Mel sing it and play along with him and get it down in a short time. Lots of room for harmony note movement creativity. For some reason I can hear Emmons using it for an instrumental if he was still playing. Nice selection.
