I'm wondering where a certain guitar is. This is a Lamar 12 string uni keyless. About 12 years ago +/-, I sold this guitar to Willis Vanderburg, not sure who he sold it to. Lamar says he's had several questions about it from various owners over the years, he thinks it wound up back in Texas. I bought the guitar from Roy Thomas over in Louisiana, (he had stripped out the Lamar mechanism underneath and replaced it with Pedalmaster/GFI parts). The action was stiff because the parts did not match up with the changer. It was a very pretty (I thought), compact little guitar, lacquer, natural maple finish. Anyone know anything as to the where abouts of this guitar.

BTW,,,I'm getting another Lamar back that I had sold several years ago,,,,when I get it back I'll post some pics,,,,a very unique guitar in several ways.

Sonny.
I never owned a Lamar guitar. I am not sure who you sold it to but it wasn't me
If you sold it on the Forum you could do a search and find who it was

Hi Sonny,
I have a couple of pictures of that guitar if you want me to email them to you.
I use to have a 12 string Lamar similar to yours. Beautiful workmanship, but a little too stiff action...which Bobby Bowman could correct if one desired.

NOTE,,,the guitar that is subject of THIS thread is a different, much earlier guitar than the one in my other thread that I just got back,,,,,,,

Hey Tom,,,yes,,that's the little jewel. Wish I could find/get it and replace all the mismatched GFI parts with original Lamar parts. How did you happen on these pics?

There are no pics here but a Google image search for your guitar linked back to the above thread.

Good Luck

Hi Sonny,

As I recall this guitar was for sale on the Forum a few years ago. I was considering buying it, but then found out that the bell cranks, shafts, etc. were replaced by Pedalmaster and GFI parts...so I passed on it. This is one beautiful guitar!

Hey Jerry,,,thanks for that link,,,,I couldn't find anything past 2007. So,,,,looks like at one time Larry Fout bought it!!! I sold him a Kline one time,,that he "just had to have",,,(then I think he sold the Kline to Allan Cook in the UK).

Anyone else have any leads on this little Lamar,,,PLEASE let me know. I don't think that whoever has it could be very happy with it unless it has been changed back to original. I APPRECIATE EVERYONE'S HELP!!!!!!

An interesting little tidbit,,,,Everyone can appreciate the beauty of that tiger-striped maple front apron,,,,,Lamar and I were talking about that several years ago and he said he was walking through Lowe's (or Home Depot), in Pensacola I think and happened to see that board in the lumber section,,,,needless to say,,,he grabbed it!
