Just wondering if anyone can tell me which would be a better choice, the Justice or Jackson. I'm fairly new to pedal steel but am leaning towards the Jackson Pro IV .

Hello Felix,

Before choosing a guitar to purchase, it would be to your advantage to attend one of the Steel Guitar conventions, to try out as many guitars as possible, before making a choice.

SCOTTY's ISGC would be a good place to start.

Scotty’s 43rd Annual
International Steel Guitar Convention
August 28th, 29th and 30th 2014

Roger

Hello Roger and thanks for the advice. I do plan to be there for that convention already. I'm excited to go there. My new buddy and mentor Mickey Anderson whom plays a Sho Bud 12 string is really liking the Jackson. I actually found out that Justice doesn't make a 12 string and that is what I really want. I have a carter 10 string right now.

Sorry Roger, my buddies name is Mickey Andrews not Anderson. Thought I would get that straight as you might have heard of him. He played with a lot of the great singers, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Stompin Tom show, and in Hawaii with Don Ho. He's 73 now and still playing up a storm.

You might consider a Mullen, a great guitar, and they do offer a 12 string!!!

Hi Felix, I remember when Mickey was playing around Toronto with a band called Cabbagetown. Great player.
