I was approached by a guy I know today who's interested in selling a couple of steels, and I'm trying to find some realistic numbers on what they're worth. I haven't seen these guitars yet, so I just know what he told me.
First is a Early Rickenbacher B-6. He says it's a 1935, with just a volume control. All original, and in pretty good cosmetic condition.
Second is a Supro D-8 console with legs.
I wasn't able to find out much about the Supro online, and values on the Ric are all over the place, looking at Ebay completed listings, and dealer websites.
I plan on getting together with him soon, so any advice on what to look for, as far as condition and function, as well as any value advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The only Supro D8 was the Console Sixteen, built briefly in 1958-9. I think I paid $750 for mine, which is coincidentally where I'd value it. It's rarer than the National Grand Console, but less well-known and therefore not particularly in demand.

I've seen asking prices for '30s B6s in the $1500 area, but I'm not sure if they're actually selling for that much.

Thanks Noah. Just knowing the name of the Supro helped in searching for info.

Make sure that the strings go thro' the body and are not secured via the shiny metal end plate that's on newer models.

Make sure it has the 1.5 inch pickup.

Flip it over and look closely at the 10th fret to be sure the neck hasn't suffered breakage....... Also do the same in the area of the NUT or tuning pegs.

Good Luck!
