Relocating to Washington D.C. in late summer for a promotion to HQ and wondering what the scene is like for a newly arriving steel player. Not sure if I'll live in D.C., Arlington or Bethesda, but willing to travel around the area. Also looking for steel players who want to get together and exchange ideas. I'm a 7-year player currently with a working weekend band and would like to keep playing out; my skillset continually improves because I'm more motivated and focused.

If your a fellow steel player in the DC, VA or MD area hit me up. The Madison (WI) steel scene is pretty scarce so I'm looking forward to having steel friends in the metro area.

Look up Jimmy C. Cole, he's a guitarist, not a steel picker, but he knows where they hide...

Rick,
There are no shortage of steel players around the Capital Beltway....Welcome aboard and give me a holler once you've settled in.

All you have to do is add a "A" and move the "Y" and "R" around in your last name and you'll fit in fine around here. Welcome and Gary is a super player. I'm still learning. Paul in Baltimore.
