Top stuff! The playing is like something on an old LP found at a garage sale. Especially the first number. Very Happy

A real live kanikapila right in a major 5 star Waikiki Hotel (The Marriott) on the beach at Waikiki by two major Hawaiian Steel Guitar star players. It is always a delight to hear Alan and Jeff.

Jeff will be the featured Hawaiian Steel Guitar artist at the 2014 Hawaiian Steel Guitar Assoiation Convention in Fort Collins, Colorado. The dates are October 23-25. For more details: http://www.hsga.org/

Fort Collins, Colorado,--that's where it is. The
home of another great steel guitarist,--Chris Kennison.

Think the Buffs are based in Boulder, and it's the Rams who call Fort Collins home.

I've watched this video several times this week...very enjoyable! That young dude with the frying pan has a beautiful tone - both are great players though.

I knew the tune as "Hawaiian Shores", title track from the Hawaii Calls album of that name. But from a quick search of what they called out, the real name is 'Alika. Wasn't the only time Webley Edwards seemed to rename instrumental songs...for instance, Temple Dance on the Fire Goddess album is unmistakeably R Alex Anderson's Narcissus Queen but I'm sure it didn't match his intended theme! Very Happy

At the same time,-one other of our favorites,-Bobby Ingano,-
