Does a speaker cabinet with four 32 ohm speakers match output of 4 or 8 ohms?
Thanks!

8 if parallel, 32 if series-parallel, and 128 if in series. And you could get some value in the middle if you bothered to figure out a hybrid form. But you couldn't get below 8.

For resistance or impedance in series the total load equals the sum of the individual loads, i.e. 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 32

For loads in parallel the reciprocal of the total equals the sum of the reciprocals of the individual loads, i.e. 1/8 + 1/8 + 1/8 + 1/8 = 4/8, the reciprocal of which is 8 divided by 4, or 2.

Or in this case, 32/4 or, as correctly noted by Lane, 8 ohms total in parallel
