Aloha all,
For the last 30 years the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Assoc. (HSGA) has held it's annual mainland festival in Joliet Illinois. This year it will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado OCT 23,24,25 2014.
We're excited to try a new venue and a new town! Fort Collins is one of the top small communities in Colorado, and in the US. It is home to Colorado State University, many high tech companies (Hewlett Packard, Intel), world class micro brews (Fat Tire), and it's nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. You can sight see, find amazing restaurants and shop in the historic Old Town area. - it's a lovely place to spend a few days. If you like to explore - you can be deep in the Rocky Mountains in less than :30min - just drive west 
This year our guest of honor from Hawaii is Jeff Au Hoy. If you have not met or heard him play steel this is your chance. Also on the final night (OCT 25) we'll host a concert at the Rialto Theatre in Loveland CO featuring Jeff Au Hoy and Sally Van Meter. Sally plays a mean dobro, and lap steel as well.

Our members provide the music and the majority is Hawaiian, however we welcome all styles. HSGA members can sign up to play a set on stage! We also will have seminars on Saturday (steel, and uke - perhaps hula) as well as evening informal jams all three days. It will be a great weekend of music this Fall.
