Very clean, 8 + 4. I have completely gone thru it and it plays and sound great. $3950.00 + shipping.
This has to be firm price. Only trade possibilities would be a late D-10 Zum. Current set-up is Day. I can switch to Emmons set-up if needed. Current height is 1" over standard which I can change if needed. This is the guitar I played at the Siloam Springs show last month.

The "Holy Grail" of pedal steel guitars. I have one just like it with 9 floor pedals and 5 knees. Except mine has wood necks. Of all the steel guitars I have ever owned it sounds the best. Noting sounds like and old Emmons push pull. It is a sound that separates the sheep from the goats.

Tone to behold, simply amazing. I've had my 66' bolt on for two months now...not many of these around.

I feel a bit lightheaded looking at this guitar. Sensational! I wish I had the money to buy it. I've only got a Carter D10 8+5, no Zum in sight. Darn.

Let's see. A 66' bolt-on. All original.

It really doesn't get much better than that.

Stephen, it is a stock Emmons case for that era. Not as tough a case as the box type but it is correct for at least some mid 60' Emmons. I don't know who built them.

The serial number is 1066. I believe it was made in 1966 but have no for sure evidence of that.

According to my records list, 1066D was made in 1967 and was formerly owned by Tim Bridges.

Are you aware that you formerly owned 1067D?

That sounds right. I have a '66 and it's pre-serial number. It has an invoice number. This was a transitional period 66-67. IMO the exact year of the guitar is not all that important. Emmons p/p's from this era all sound great.

Perhaps I should pull this from the market. I don't wish to mis-represent it. I thought it was a 1966.
I will keep it open to anyone who has already expressed an interest with the understanding that it may be a 1967.

Herb, I don't understand your question in reference to #1067. Who were you asking if they were aware of having owned #1067 at one time? I hope you were not addressing me 'cause if you were I must be loosing my faculties. I sure don't remember owning it. I do have another D10 Bolt-on that has an "invoice serial number".

The list that I've assembled is strictly "non-official," just one that I gleaned from sources here and elsewhere. You have my apologies, sincerely!

Whether your guitar was made in '66 or '67 makes little difference. It's a fantastic vintage and should make some player very happy, especially since I feel you're asking a more than reasonable price for it.

If I didn't have so many Emmons guitars personally, I would want it myself!

Herb, no problem with the year question with me. You certainly don't need to apologize for helping educate us. I don't think the year model matters being that it being a bolt-on is what matters. But I am curious with your question about #1067. Please tell me you were not addressing me with that question. Smile Who were you asking that question?
Thanks,
Jerry

Thanks for being gracious with my intrusion on your For Sale ad.

In my list of Emmons owners from 1964 through 1968, I got the information somewhere, and it's usually from a posting on the Forum, that #1067D belonged to you. It's an older entry on my list, and perhaps I erred in the listing.

Whatever, your guitar would look great in my collection, and if I hadn't just ordered an Infinity from Frank Carter, I'd be sending you a check for your bolt-on.
