Hi Greg, Thanks very much for the nice words. These guys call me to work a new Opry they're trying to get up and running. So far we've had pretty good crowds show up.

Good luck with the Opry. We're tryin to keep this one here that I'm playing. Been tough. I hear your radio friends with Phylis Moyers' husband here in Ohio. Phylis is a friend of mine.

Great job, Dick. The Opry that was here for many years finally faded away. I'd like to know more about yours. I'm not that far down the road. I'll follow up with an email so I don't get off topic. Thanks for posting.

Greg, I've been in Ham Radio 38 years and have become really good friends with her Husband Jim and I finally got to meet Phyllis at the Dallas Jamboree back in March. They're two wonderful people.

Jim, I'm not sure there was topic...lol The Opry is in Corsicana which is about a two hour drive for me but so far I have enjoyed working it with my old friend Jim Stovall who is the bass player. Jim's health has been going down hill lately and I'm not sure what's going to happen as they hired him to put the band together.

I'm supposed to play there again June 21st so come and hang out if you have time.

Dick - I'm not sure about the 21st, but maybe. It would be fun. How often are the shows scheduled, weekly, monthly...?

Not sure Jim because they call me when they need me. I believe the Opry has a website up.

Thanks,

Hi Daniel,

That band was put together for an Opry that recently fired up in Corsicana TX which is 70 miles south of Dallas.

The bass player worked with Ray Price for a few years back in the 80's and he and I have been friends since that time. He calls me every now and then to work that show which is building steam slowly but surely. We usually back around four different singers and it's a good clean family oriented show.

We don't do any originals.

As for the sound, well, it could be better but the sound man is new at it along with using an old Behringer board which sucks.

Thanks for the nice compliments.
