Last night, I wanted to watch Netflix in the bedroom, and the powered speakers on the dresser were kinda muffled.
Headphone out of computer->¼-⅛ adapter->Twin. Plenty of volume, plenty of clarity.
But Denise made me turn off the reverb...

It was either that, or move the stereo from the other end of the house.
I'm contemplating using the Twin as my nightstand, and the Session 500 for hers. That way we can have the benefit of both channels.

When I was a teenager, (too many years ago), AM radio was the only new music availlable. I took the pre out from my RCA radio, and ran it into the power section of my Silvertone amp. The chassis mounted into the bottom of the cab, so it was all self contained.
Loud enough for us kids then!
(I guess that amp was pre reverb).

A little while back I dragged a Hammond M3 home from Goodwill. I noticed there was an RCA input on the amp, so I put my iPhone dock on top and plugged it all in. It was the best powered iPhone speaker ever, if by 'best', you mean huge, heavy, dusty, and slightly mildewed. It sounded pretty decent!

In my youth, I also found out that you can use a pair of headphones as a pickup. I needed to amplify an acoustic guitar so I just clamped the headphones over the top and bottom of the guitar and I was in business!

Don't tell Denise. I turned it back on.

I was thinking Lane had a twin brother or something. Then I really had to see what the use for that was going to be.

Did the size of the speakers matter?
