Was just curious cause I don't see them that much and was just wondering. I got the chance to hear mine from the seating area not the stage and was just amazed at the tone i was getting. I have been considering buying a second guitar this spring and have been on a little "quest" for the right guitar. Think I found it. So Jimmy, if you have any good ol 8x8 hotrods laying around let me know might have to go to the loan officer a little early hehehehehehe.
perfer black. ( as bob knight said they do have the best one hehehehe)

Well of course there's Jimmie himself, Russ Hicks, Buck Reid, and my old friend Gerry Hogan. Then there's the guy with Travis Tritt and I thought I saw a JCH at the back of the bandstand on the new Toby Keith video.
Come to think of it, all my best pals in the steel community are on that list - maybe it's time for me to get in line!

| I don't think he's on the Forum, so I'll submit his name -- Tom Webb. He's a guy I know that lives just over the border in Michigan. Has an older JCH D-10 with 705's. Great tone! Not really reminiscent of anything but itself. |

Buck I heard you playing the new JCH over the phone at jimmy's house around the first of the year sounded sweet.I'm savin my pennies.You all can see my JCH on my web site scottyhenderson.com. What pickup is Jimmie using these days. Mine had the 705 copy and I later sold it. Wish I hadn't done that. Hey Buddy,you going to pass

Seriously I have 2, an SD-10 3 & 4 Royal Blue with Silver aprons and a D-10 8 & 5 that is (for lack of a better name)Tomato Puke with an anthrysite top. Both have the Lawrence XR-16 pickups and enough tone to go around the room twice. These guitars are a "class act" both on top and underneath. They are a perfect, precisioned instrument AND they don't cost $6,000! |

| Put me down for a pair. I've got a black 2001 D-10 8x6. And a red lacquer 1990 D-10 8x7 that I picked up a little over a month ago. I love both of them. They are both answers to prayer and I am truly blessed to have them. |

I want a white one. White is the presence of all color (all visible rays of the spectrum).
But, white is a sign of purity___may not be compatible with my picking.

JCH-Emmons has a nice ring to it... hope it's a boy!!!
Seriously I have never played a P/P.Is the action on our JCH's similar I know mine has a really nice squeeze on the pedals which has turned me off of other guitars. The action was always to light. Want to feel that metal when I ride!(sounds like a song hehehehhe)

I just spoke to Jeff Peterson at the Super Jam and it looks like the JCH are going to be a piece of art.Since I have experienced Jeff`s work first hand (unbelievable restoration of `74 fat back)and knowing how much work and love he puts in his projects there is no doubt in my mind that we are about to be hit with some serious guitars here pretty soon.Jeff and Jimmy are wonderful people and guitars they make will be second to none by quality and tone.Waiting period will get shorter also and that is a good news.

First of all, let me thank you all so much for your kind words of endorsement and support, they mean alot. Since 1981, I have tried, struggled, and occasionally cussed in my workshop to design and construct the finest steels I could manage...and many times wondered to myself if all this was worth it. With this one thread from you all, I know it has been worth every second. I want to tip my hat to all the other steel guitar builders, because I've been at both ends of the stick, as player and builder, and know what you all go through to achieve your goals
As the OEM builder of Emmons 10+10 push-pull guitars for Ron Lashley from 1968ish to 1980, I felt I knew what needed to be designed into an all-pull to make it the best it can be...which resulted in the JCH.
And thank you Mr. Emmons, I know all you have done for the steel guitar, community, and especially the music.
By the way, Buddy, your guitar will be delivered soon even if we have to perform a cesarian section.

Jimmie is unique, cause he plays 'em as good as he builds 'em (and he builds them scary good). He built one of the OEM Emmons 10x10's for me in '79 (which hopefully will become a JHC before too long ), and the underside is a picture of perfection. On top of being the best friend a steeler could have.
Jeff has been a good friend since the mid 1970's. It does my heart good to see these two guys working together, and I know Jeff is equally dedicated to the task (by the way, he's restoring my 1970 PP Emmons, and it could not be in better hands ).
You go guys!
