This must sound stupid but I think I've tried every way to wire this Dunlop pot in a Franklin pedal. I mean how hard can this be? I can't get a sound anywhere and it was working so all I did was take the old scratchy PEC pot out and install this one. It was sent with the wires already soldered so this should be easy!

On my pot on the outer barrel there is a marking indicated as, 'M3'.The post nearest to that is where I soldered the white wire. Working counterclockwise, next is the brown wire, then the red...Hope that this information proves useful.

If you are referring the the ones that Tom Bradshaw sells, if you look at the back as if it were a face, the chin is the output, the left eye is the ground, and the right eye is the input.

A good sugestion, I think, is for anyone who does electrical work to invest $10-$15 in a cheap multimeter. They come in handy for checking speakers, batteries, and wiring, as well as pots. Checking to find the right connections for a pot are then easy. The pot has three terminals, and what you're looking for are the two terminals of the pot whose reading does not change when the pot shaft is turned. One of these gets grounded to the pedal case, and the other is hooked to the "hot" lead from your pickup (via the tip of the input jack of the pedal). The output jack is usually grounded through the pedal body too, so the "hot" or tip of that jack gets connected to the pot's remaining unused terminal, called the "wiper".

Done deal!
