Since Santa is so commercialized these days. I'm betting he's an E9 player.

I know for a fact that when I was a young boy growing up in the U.K. most of Santas (Father Christmas) playing was trying to copy the Island sounds that were popular just before and after the war (the one that was in all the papers)but switched to a more up to date sound with the E9th tuning so as not be to too outdated.

I have it on good authority that Santy usually plays an E9/B6 Universal tuning, and wears a thumbpick and three fingerpicks. But he also gives each of the guitars in his collection of vintage D10's (P/P's , Sho~Buds, ZB's, and a one of a kind MSA with a Brad's Rack style stand shaped like sleigh runners) equal time during his 364 days off a year...
I am also given to understand he prefers tube amps

Ho, Ho, Ho!!!

He plays a Sno-Bud - don't know what tuning, though.

It's a single 8, with those Tinny Reindeer® string pullers.
