Dumb writers of songs today never did complete the third-grade in school. Stupid singers(?) sound like cattle baying/calling for water. Every singer and song today refers to his date/sweetheart/darling as GIRL. |

Well, I think 'girl' sounds a whole lot better than 'baby'. _________________ Sho-Bud Pro III + Marshall JMP 2204 half stack = good grind! |

That is because it is too unpolitically correct to call them woman or women.
When I married my wife 45 years ago at age 21, she was a woman not a girl. She still is a woman today. _________________ Rebel |

Now you've went and got yourself in the dog house. A little simple math and we know how old your wife is. What a way to start a weekend. You better hope she don't see this.
Congratulations to both of you on 45 years!

It was 1967 - I think Neil's hormones were getting the better of him... |

Not as creepy as Gary Puckett's "Young Girl Get Out Of My Mind" (written by Jerry Fuller).
Young girl get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young girl _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

As long as we're going there, what about Sonny Boy Williamson's "Good Morning Little School Girl"
Hello, little school girl
Good mo'nin, little school girl
Can I go home with you?
Can I go home, later wit' you?
Now, you can tell yo' mother an' yo' father, um
That Sonny Boy's a little school boy, too
What's really creepy is seeing all those fifty-something guys sing it at a blues jam. The Jr.Wells/Buddy Guy version does have one of the best guitar/bass hooks ever, though. |

Speaking of creepy song lyrics, Here's one from the Boss:
Hey little girl is your daddy home
Did he go and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
Oh-oh-oh, I'm on fire
Tell me now baby is he good to you
Can he do to you the things I don't do
I can take you higher
Oh-oh-oh, I'm On Fire I'm on fire _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

I think by "daddy" he means "your old man". But you never know.... _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

I call older girls, women. But I still call female singers, girl singers. I don't know why, but it sounds better than woman singer, or even female singer. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I know, Mike...but that coupled with the next line about havin' a bad desire kinda seals it for me...lol. Richard, it's way safer to just refer to them as singers _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

But, saying "the singer" could mean one of four different people in my band that sing. And only one is female as far as I can tell. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . How many girl singers does it take to sing "Crazy"?
Every F%#$@ing one of them
Why's there a girl singer on the porch?
She can't find the key and doesn't know when to come in. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
