| Dumb writers of songs today never did complete the third-grade in school. Stupid singers(?) sound like cattle baying/calling for water. Every singer and song today refers to his date/sweetheart/darling as GIRL. |

Well, I think 'girl' sounds a whole lot better than 'baby'.

That is because it is too unpolitically correct to call them woman or women.
When I married my wife 45 years ago at age 21, she was a woman not a girl. She still is a woman today.

I think by "daddy" he means "your old man". But you never know....

I call older girls, women. But I still call female singers, girl singers. I don't know why, but it sounds better than woman singer, or even female singer.

I know, Mike...but that coupled with the next line about havin' a bad desire kinda seals it for me...lol. Richard, it's way safer to just refer to them as singers

But, saying "the singer" could mean one of four different people in my band that sing. And only one is female as far as I can tell.
