I know this subject comes up a lot on the forum. My volume pedal isn't as scratchy as it's making more of a popping noise. I've gotta gig tonight and can't find detoxit or any of the other brands named on the forum. And I can't get a hilton. Was wondering if anyone has used super oil on them?? That's all I got at the house. If not I guess any contact cleaner spray with a lubricant will work?

Alex,
If you have a NAPA store or Radio Shack nearby, you can probably find a small can of electronics parts cleaner.

Play well tonight.

Thanks Craig! I'll try and get by the hardware store. I guess the only necessity is that it has a lubricant in it? Then you just spray all over the pot? Some people talk about taking it apart, i Definatley don't have time for that

If you have a radio Shack nwarby, I'd get a can of cleaner and maybe a $4.00 pot. If the cleaner doesn't work, then you can pop in a pot that'll last a few months.

Good quick-fix idea Lane. It's not that hard to remove the back from a pot. While you have it apart, drill a tiny hole in the cover for next month's spray.
