Bill, does this give you a good resonator sound? If so, I'll take it........JH in Va.

These units are great. Tom did an excellent job designing this. I am ending my steel guitar playing. You will be very happy with it. Will consider it sold unless you change your mind. Bill

My take, and I have one (fiancée's Christmas present to me): these things will make a steel sound more like a miked Dobro than a Dobro with a pickup. It will sound better than a cheap Dobro, but it won't be like your Beard .

only prob is they lower the output your amp sees so it seems you need to turn up a bunch to overcome that .. use with a Fishman Aura pedal and its perfect ..

Scott can you elaborate on that combination? I've got both, but never tried them together.

Well the way i do it is a bit convoluted and may not apply to you ... when i use a single channel amp i go through a loop selector .. on one loop I've got my regular Steel pedals .. reverb .. delay .. Univibe .. overdrive .. on the other loop ill have the MXR followed by the AURA ... that way i can boost the sound of the MXR Reso pedal and choose the Mic emulation i like best that night Ha ha .. when i use my Vibrasonic i use an a/b pedal and just switch between the two sections of my pedal array .. the steel array or the dobro array ... see what i mean by convoluted .. of course i use one channel for steel and the other for the dobro sound ..
