| Can someone point me to Lloyd Green non-pedal steel recordings? The only thing I could come up with is this 2010 Bob Hoffnar thread , and the YouTube video has since been removed. |

That was great Jon...a Lloyd Classic clip... It was more about the rhythm, style, and groove back then, today it's all about the mechanics of a steel it seems. Lloyd could really write some melodies on that thing, and that kind of playing is not easy to write in colourful fashion, it's a total artistry!

He's playing a solo on John Stewart's "Never Going Back". Maybe it is played on a pedal guitar but I hear no pedals being pushed. It's on youtube, but not available over here so I can't put up a link. Maybe someone does it for me?

Jack on the live version of ' never going back' , Stewart mentions on steel guitar 'Dangerous Dan Dugmore'. I don't have the studio version. Also Jim Gordon plays drums on the live recording.
