Hello again my fellow steelers! Very Happy
Every so often, I get E-Mails requesting me for certain songs that they want to, either see if I can play them, or they would like to hear them played in the style that I play. Well, I am honored that they do, considering that I`ve never had the formal training that I would have liked to have had to play the songs they like. But, I always try to satisfy the requests when they ask. So hear is one that I posted back in 2010, or there abouts here on our forum. Boy, I was a lot younger then.. Laughing Be blessed! Enjoy! I Hope! Winking

Of course, I've heard your recording before, but thanks for reminding us all of it.

Very inspiring. Sleep Walk has been a favorite of mine since it was first released, and I must have heard hundreds of versions over the years, including the vocal version by Betsy Brye, which I particularly like, but this version stands out from the others in that you haven't attempted to copy Santo Farina, you've put your own style into it, and the blues-inspired sadness of the number comes over amazingly well. This is certainly one of your best recordings, Ron. Cool Very Happy

Ronnie, I do agree with Alan your version is certainly inspiring as is all your playing.
I do not particularly like copy of other peoples playing Styles, it is so good to hear the players own talents and style coming through. There can only be one original Bishop Ronnie Hall and we get to hear it here on the forum. Thank you.

Hi Al Very Happy !!! (Brookes)
My Dear friend,
Always look forward to your comments and encouragement. Yes, I tried as an experiment to post in the area that I thought I should be in which is Steel Without Pedals because, I realized I dont use pedals??? I never expected to be so warmly accepted with my style of playing, but I`m glad that I did. Surely, my version of "Sleepwalk" is not the purist idea of this "Holy Grail" of steel players music, is not the best, but never the less, somebody will enjoy it, and they have, so it`s alright with me. And most of all my old friend, you have been a great supporter of my efforts, and I trust that all is well with you, and yours. Thanks as always...
