Fender PA-100 head. Has 4 channels with reverb. I want this for a project amp and it will be for using guitar and steel as it has reverb in all channels. |

I also have a PA135 with new power tubes. Just don't need it any longer.

Somehow, very cool looking.
Question, if I may ... why no XLR inputs? Are these PA amps for high impedance mics only?
Thanks. _________________ "For every expert, there is an equal and opposite expert." -- Arthur C. Clarke |

Yes. Old school, high impedance only. Not much as a PA by today standard . They make a great guitar or bass amp though. Plenty of power. _________________ Bill |

Michael:
When these Pa heads were made, most mics only had 1/4 inch jacks and that's why there were no XLR input jacks. I still have a 50 year old PE-54 mic with a 1/4 jack that sounds great. Good thing as these PA heads were basically a Twin Reverb with Four channels and only a Treble and Bass control. The Twin has Bass, treble, mid and presence. However, a Deluxe Reverb is setup the same way the PA head for treble & bass.
There also some mods that can be done on these amps to tweak each channel for whatever instrument you are playing. Cool project amp! |

This amp is the BOMB. I have it hooked up with a bass cab and using the reverb with the bass. I know, who uses reverb with bass, but it sounds wonderful. Everything about this amp is perfect and it looks like it just came out of the showroom. Thank you Bill
I forgot to mention that I also picked up a nice PA 100 that my tech is changing the input caps and resistors on each channel to Twin specs that will use for steel & guitar. I also traded an Ibanez guitar and some cash for a Duel Showman head with reverb. I am in Fender Heaven!
